Parramatta Light Rail Livery
The river ‘flows’ through, touching upon every aspect of Australia’s second oldest city.
Conceptually based on the importance of the Parramatta River, its significant influence on the landscape, culture, history and emergence of Parramatta as an important city of Sydney which continues to have a compelling impact on the growth and development of this most multicultural and diverse environment.
The flow of the river, has positively impacted indigenous, heritage and modern day populations and continues to do so. The flow nourishes animal diversity and growth of numerous species of flora. The river is the ‘life source’ of a continually evolving city.
In many similar ways, the Parramatta Light Rail ‘flows’ through the city, influencing, facilitating and developing transport links, creating new communities, connecting great places and helping both locals and visitors move around and explore what the region has to offer, re-invigorating the city much like the flow of the river.
Leading to Gibbs Design creating the fabric pattern design and implementation. Resulting in a meaningful and symbolic fabric pattern design for the Parramatta Light Rail Livery.
